2015 Christmas Challenge
Every year at our Christmas party we get a fat quarter that we are to make up into something quilty and we keep it a secret until our July quilt show. We take great pains to keep it a secret until after the show. I tried trapunto for the first time. the challenge fabric is the boarder fabric and i used some in each of the little blocks. 11 X 17 I did mine right after the Christmas party that so i didn't have to think about it for 7 months, besides I had an idea for a challenge no matter what the fabric looked like. Finished Dec 2015 for the 2016 quilt show.
Mug Rugs.
In 2015 one of our group projects were to make Mug Rugs. I had a great time with them. Several went to the ladies at the County Treasures office whom I work with during my tax season (I'm the town treasurer) one for my sister Linda and we did an exchange at our Christmas party. They are quick to make and lots of fun. December 2015
FROM OUR OUSE TO YOURS
This is a gift for my friend Olivia in Ireland, it was a lot of cut outs and heat and bond, then quilted down. Its a wall hanging. The blue house is Olivia's (her house is actually blue) and the red one is ours and ours is a reddish brown. This was a Christmas gift to her.
Farm Chick Block of the Month project
Farm Chick Block of the month----Sampler blocks which we started in January of 2015 -we got block instrutions over the internet each month so it was easy to get the project done as we only had the one block to work on. Finished 12-31 2015
Crazy Crumbs
As I was viewing Pinterest I came upon this quilting method that intrigued me so I immediately to my sewing room to make one and I was hooked. I later in the month taught a class in it to our quilt guild and everyone else got so excited and were very busy making blocks. What a great way to use up scraps of all sizes. I also added some counted cross stitch and lace and fancy stitches to make it a bit more crazy quilt looking. February 2016
Victorian Posies
This quilt is 60 X 68 1/2" first i made the blocks like potholders, then I quilted them, next I had to blanket stitch them all the way around and then crochet them all the way around. After that i joined them with crochet with a variegated crochet cotton. I made the little apple blossoms for all joined points on the front and back. While I was crocheting the apple blossoms I was at my daughter-in-laws house spending time with Megan while my daughter-in-law and her husband were on a vacation. They have a big chocolate lab and he came up to my table and quickly ate 3 o4 4 of the apple blossoms. I tried to pry his mouth open but they were gone----soooo back to making more apple blossoms. Baskets and Sunday Satchel
I think i must have at least 1000 yards of strips cut for the clothes line baskets and love making them. I use them all over my sewing room as the big one made from 100 feet of rope will make a basket big enough to hold the cut out pcs for a queen size quilt and the instructions--thus my project lines up in my sewing room waiting to be completed never run out of UFO's The Sunday Satchel is a real handy "busy bag", i add a zipped pouch and scissors that i hook to the inside of the bag that so you never leave them somewhere they are always attached. The bag is a origami fold, i sandwiched my fabric and quilted it, added the binging and did the folds and added the straps. I think this may be my 6th or 7th one. They make great gifts.

Origami Table Runner
Our guild had a class on Origami quilting, it's quite easy after you get on to the technique. I have pearls in the flower centers. 19 X 40" The colors in real life are better than in the picture but you all get the idea.
April 2016 project
April 2016 project
My friend JoAn U'Ren gave me a huge bag of denim jeans that she had all washed up and some cut a part. I tried to give them away to my friends that so i wouldn't have one more project but i ended up cutting 90 circles out of those jeans and then added a charm pack for the top side plus adding some lace in places. I was inspired by my granddaughter Alissa when she went to a country concert and wore a pretty floral dress with a denim jean jacket and cowgirl boots. She looked so beautiful and young and full of fun I
wanted that reflected in this quilt. Lots of buttons to sew on--it's not a real big quilt 46 X 56. April 2016

These are baby quilts I made for a charity ---the Rice Lake Pregnancy Center. The quilts were displayed at the Mall and then judged. I didn't win only winning in the fact that some little babies will be cuddled in my quilts.
the top quilt is called "Crazy Crumbs" blocks, i used several children's patterns and the second quilt is made from counted cross stitch pc's that I buy at yard sales or thrift shops I just think they need to be re-purposed into something new==after all someone put many hours into the work and it was discarded and then rescued by me.
